Since so many people were unable to attend today's very brief service we look forward to the day when we can give Joe the send off we would have liked and celebrate his life. in the meantime I include the pieces of music that we had played today for him, both pieces meant so much to Dad and mean a lot to all his family. Abide with me , the rugby league anthem always emotional and this version by Jo Stafford and Gordon Macrae was a favourite version. Con Te Partiro a fitting goodbye to our beloved Joe, Vera' soul mate for 65 years, sang by Andrea Boccelli, who gave them both so much pleasure particularly in recent years when they spent many hours watching concerts on their TV.
